Amarijn, an important care organization in the Walcheren region, has made the transition to modern workplace environments with the help of Interstellar, focusing on improved IT security through regular pentests and advanced security measures.

The great thing about collaborating with Interstellar is that you can quickly get access to specialists due to the short lines of communication

The organization faced the challenge of modernizing an outdated ICT environment while simultaneously ensuring digital security against a backdrop of increasing cyber threats.
Renco van Leeuwen, Head of ICT at Amarijn: “To ensure that our security measures provide sufficient protection, we have a pentest carried out annually. Through Interstellar, I got in touch with Pinewood and a pentest was conducted within one month.”
Interstellar supported Amarijn in the transition to a cloud-based modern workplace environment. This included the implementation of an Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) system and advanced Microsoft E5 licenses. Interstellar, together with Pinewood, conducted a comprehensive pentest, including blackbox tests of wifi and home automation systems.
The transition has led to improved operational efficiency and an increased security standard. The pentests have highlighted specific areas for improvement that have since been implemented, bringing the organization in line with relevant ISO standards.
The collaboration with Interstellar has enabled Amarijn to not only modernize their ICT infrastructure but also strengthen their security policy. The organization is now better prepared for the future, with plans to evaluate and improve security measures annually.
Van Leeuwen: “With the previous supplier, I had to convert technical reports into advice for management myself. It’s nice that I’m now relieved of this task.”
